Avengers: Endgame

รีวิว Avengers Endgame : 3 ชม.ที่ยอดเยี่ยมและผ่านไปไวที่สุดสำหรับแฟนมาร์เวล - โพสต์ทูเดย์ ดูหนัง-ฟังเพลง

Endgame : I’ve never seen a pop culture phenomenon end as perfectly as Avengers: Endgame. As a bookend to 11 years of superhero movies, I’m not sure if it could have been done better. For me it brings to mind the final episode of The Wire or Return of the King. There’s just so much emotional payoff I was literally spent after watching it.

When the credits ran I sank back in my chair in complete awe of what I’d just experienced. Hours later, I’m still reeling. Everything works here. The cameos, the humor, the battles, the story. I cannot wait to watch it again.

Best moment: I won’t spoil it here, of course, but the best moment in this film is something I’d been waiting to see since these movies started to connect. It’s such a glorious moment of pure comic book fan bliss. Problem is, there are at least five of these moments in this film, so good luck guessing which it is.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

รีวิวหนังเก่า : Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (มินิรีวิว) -

There’s a scene at the end of this movie that absolutely wrecks me. It’s the funeral scene that Cat Stevens’ Father and Son plays over. As I watched it unfold I was surprised by just how heavily it was affecting me. It’s a beautiful sequence and it’s the moment I realized I was watching one of the best MCU movies.

There’s so much character depth here it’s almost staggering. Story arcs are interwoven between multiple characters and every scene and every line seems to have meaning behind it. And I’m not even going to go into the amazing effects, editing, action scenes and acting. If you thought the filmmakers used ’70s and ’80s pop music effectively in the first movie, this is another level. The first Guardians had catchier tunes, but the ones in the sequel have much more meaning.

Again, the movie is all about how its characters relate to one another. By the last shot in the film, there were tears running down my face. As the onscreen characters realized what they’d lost, the path they’d chosen and what it meant for their opportunity for redemption, I was in awe at the movie’s staggering accomplishment.

Best moment: The whole sequence that begins with Father and Son is payoff after payoff and completely wrecks me.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

How 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Refers to Quicksilver

Age of Ultron asks some interesting questions of its heroes. Why do they do this? How long can they continue doing this? It goes deeper with the characters than previous movies.
While the first film is one of the best examples of a purely fun blockbuster, Ultron is a completely different beast. It takes more narrative chances and as a result (at least from a character standpoint) has bigger payoffs.

Age of Ultron isn’t The Avengers, and thankfully it isn’t trying to be. It’s something much more interesting, thought provoking and (dare I say it) profound.
Not everyone gets an interesting arc (sorry, Thor) but pretty much every Avenger is confronted with intriguing character challenges that are handled in an elegant way.
Best moment: “The Vision, Iron Man and Thor shoot Ultron with their beams!!” is the way I would describe my favorite moment in this film if I were 8 years old.

The Assistant” The Ten Best Films of 2020

There aren’t a million different stories to be told. Most stories, even personal ones, contain familiar elements or come from similar sources. But there are different lenses through which to view the familiar, lenses which expand and transform our “shared” collective memory and/or experience. For example, the story of NASA, told in countless films and documentaries, was incomplete until the “hidden figures” of African-American mathematicians and engineers were revealed. And so the lens got wider. The story didn’t lessen in relevance, but expands because more people are included in it. Lee Isaac Chung’s “Minari,” loosely based on his own childhood in Arkansas, is this kind of film.

“Minari” is a familiar immigrant story, and a familiar American story, filled with the dream of owning land, working the land, being your own boss. Jacob (Steven Yeun) and Monica (Yeri Han), Korean immigrants, make the bold choice to leave their jobs as chicken sexers in California, to move to Arkansas with their two small children, chasing Jacob’s dream to start a small farm. Jacob revels in the dirt, the sweat, the vision of crops to come. Monica hates all of it, and the children look on, scared, as their parents’ marriage disintegrates. Monica’s mother, staying with them, adds tension in the small home. Grandma is a live wire, and Yuh-Jung Youn’s superb performance is key to “Minari”‘s impact (as well as the reason behind its title).

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)

เรียนภาษาอังกฤษออนไลน์ | Ant-man and the Wasp (Ant-man 2)The success of Ant-Man sparked an unexpected sequel, which takes the series even deeper into the quantum realm than the first film. The title characters’ ability to shrink and grow on demand makes for some visually arresting fight scenes, and it carries through the humour and levity from the first film, but the actual plot – if you interrogate it for even a second – is deeply silly, although perhaps that’s what we all needed after the snap. Although it came out after Infinity War, most of the action takes place beforehand, with the exception of a stunning post-credits scene. ดูหนังออนไลน์

Bambi (1942)

Bambi (1942) : Don’t watch this one without a box of tissues nearby. Before Pixar films like Up and Toy Story made you sob openly in movie theaters, there was Bambi. After the titular fawn loses his mother to a hunter, he must make his own way through the woods and find friends along the way.

Inside a Designer’s Vibrant Rental Revamp in Istanbul

pThe living room is anchored

When the interior curator and founder of Labrand World, Serhat Tuncay, discovered his rental apartment in Istanbul’s Rumeli Hisar—famous for its historic Ottoman fortress, and a peaceful residential escape from the buzzing dynamism of the city—he was immediately smitten. Despite the flat’s tired interiors, original features like parquet floors and lofty ceilings remained and the picturesque views of the Bosphorus from its terrace and private garden were a joyful bonus. “I felt the energy of the place as soon as I walked in…I approach everything spiritually and I knew this place could be something amazing,” Serhat explains.

His elegant wood-clad building, which was rebuilt in the 1980s, is architecturally protected by the City Hall, so the terms of Serhat’s lease meant he couldn’t make any structural upgrades to his second-floor flat. But with his landlord’s approval, he could give the place a cosmetic refresh.

Since moving in over a year ago, Serhat has brought the space to life. The open-plan living and dining room is the center of the home, with an adjoining office and separate kitchen. He also put his touch on the bedroom with ensuite and a combination guestroom–dressing room.

Opting for a soothing gray-and-white palette for the backdrop throughout, he shocks this tranquil aesthetic equilibrium with bold color, pattern, and textures. One wall of the living room is painted in an eye-catching abstract design—an experimental collaboration between Serhat and artist Ömer Öney—which transforms the space. The mural, framed by contemporary white modular Autoban bookcases on either side, helps delineate the living and dining area. This avant-garde decor approach continues with ambient trickery in the study, where the inky blue Missoni wallpaper alters the mood from day to night.

Three Caballeros (1944)

SERIES

The follow-up to Saludos Amigos and the second of Disney’s World War II-era “package films” to be inspired by Walt’s ambassadorship to South America. (Briefly: the State Department, desperate to drum up support in South America, sent Walt on a goodwill tour of the region. Walt, who brought along a small team of artists, saw it as a way to creatively recharge his batteries.) Three Caballeros is the more fun, energetic version of Saludos Amigos, and has another all new character to join Jose and Donald: Panchito Pistoles (Joaquin Garay),

who was meant to represent Mexican culture. It also introduced Aracuan Bird, a weird South American bird of indeterminate origin who would go on to make several more appearances alongside the more popular characters. Although considered one of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ animated classics, the film features liberal use of live action footage, most of it featuring popular cultural figures from the time (Aurora Miranda, Dora Luz, etc.)

This is a movie that is lively and weird, especially during the kaleidoscopic “Donald’s Surreal Reverie” sequence which is trippier than anything the studio had done outside of the “Pink Elephants on Parade” sequence from Dumbo and all of Fantasia. Three Caballeros has had a surprisingly long shadow, as well, thanks largely to their appearance (complete with the magic carpet from the “Mexico: Pátzcuaro, Veracruz and Acapulco” section of the movie) in Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros, the attraction at the heart of the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot Center’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World. Ole!

Movie Slimeballs

You know who I’m talking about. Those argumentative, disruptive, condescending, annoying and, sometimes, downright evil antagonists whose chief existence, it seems, is to make our hero’s life harder.
In the 1980s, American cinema was awash with the movie slimeball. They became one of the decade’s most prominent tropes; as recognisable as the permed bouffant and spandex.

In fact, the 80s slimeball became as familiar as the femme fatale of 40s and 50s film noir or the promiscuous teenager of 80s slasher movies destined to die at the hands of the killer.
Not always attached to the main villain’s entourage but, by his or her actions, an extension of the bad guy’s threat, the 80s slimeball became an important part of a film’s ability to excite, entertain, infuriate and unsettle. As we’re about to find out, these bit-part players left an indelible mark.

Paul Davenport
Paul Davenport isn’t happy that newcomer Josh Baskin (Tom Hanks) is winning the attentions of his boss and the heart of his girl so makes every effort to make the Baskin’s life a misery.

Dillon
Dillon knowingly sends his old friend Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his crack team of mercenaries into danger in the jungles of Central America. While this CIA slimeball can’t account for the alien creature that picks off the soldiers one-by-one, his lies and cloak and dagger bureaucracy are a contributor to their demise.

All My Life Marc Meyers

All My Life

A month or so ago, I had the misfortune of sitting through a horrendous film called 2 Hearts, a soggy and manipulative inspiration-porn weepie that made my want to claw my own eyes out with a soup spoon just to have something else to think about. Because of this, I entered All My Life with some trepidation.

Jessica Rothe (the Happy Death Day films) and Harry Shum, Jr (Crazy Rich Asians) star in the “true story” of Jenn and Sol, a perfect pair who fall head over heels in love. But when Sol starts feeling intense stomach pain in the middle of the night, he is rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with liver cancer. Sol battles the illness with Jenn at his side, but in December of that year, he is given the diagnosis of six months to live, making their plans for a summer wedding impossible. In a race against time, Jenn and Sol’s friends launch an online fundraiser for $25,000 to help the couple create their dream wedding in just two weeks. In the process, people around the world unleash an outpouring of generosity and attention.
Director Marc Meyers (My Friend Dahmer, We Summon The Darkness) may seem like an odd choice to direct such a film, but if you look over his filmography, he has at least as much experience with this sort of cornball melodrama as he does with the dark and disturbing. Overall, I found All My Life to be surprisingly easy to watch, but that should not be confused with a recommendation. It’s a little like successfully eating something for the first time after the flu: Just because I didn’t vomit doesn’t mean it was a memorable experience. It’s a lot better than 2 Hearts, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it good. The problem is that it’s such a simplified, phony version of the story that it feels more like a chain email, a meme or even a commercial for GoFundMe than it does a movie. And apparently, Jenn and—especially—Sol were hatched from pods, because there’s absolutely no indication that either of these two have relatives of any kind, which really jumps out at you because Sol is the only noticeably Asian person in the film.
The couple’s circle of friends plays like a focus group was assigned to watch TV until they saw enough examples of young people socializing with each other to be able put together a reasonable facsimile, complete with the one token but utterly generic black friend (Jay Pharoah, Saturday Night Live) and the bearded lady from The Greatest Showman. The latter isn’t given a character, per se, but is introduced just early enough that when she sings at the wedding we say, “Oh, that’s why she’s in this” instead of asking how much of the $25,000 went to booking Keala Settle as the entertainment, or wondering how much more Bette Midler would have cost.
